Why Use Us

Years of Experience

The Pima County Bar's Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) began its operations in January 1956, and has been successfully connecting clients to local attorneys for over 60 years. Each year, we respond to 8,700+ callers in need of legal help and resources.

We're Local

The Pima County Bar is located in Tucson, and we directly know our LRS attorneys. We are not providing referrals to attorneys in another city or state, or with whom we've never directly met. LRS attorneys are also typically members of the Pima County Bar Association, who attend our continuing legal education seminars and other bar-related activities.

Qualified Lawyers

LRS attorneys are screened and must meet certain qualifications and requirements in order to participate in LRS. Specifically, LRS attorneys: (1) must be licensed with the State Bar of Arizona, (2) must be in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona and the Pima County Bar Association, (3) must carry professional liability insurance, and (4) must meet an experience requirement in handling cases in their chosen areas of law. When you contact LRS, you are referred to an attorney who must speak with you directly, and cannot turn you and your case over to an assistant, paralegal, or other person for the LRS consultation.

Clients Are Happy With Us

Repeatedly, our client feedback surveys show that 96% of our clients report satisfaction with our service, and the overwhelming majority would (and do) use LRS again for future legal help. We value helping LRS clients and regularly conduct follow-up client surveys to learn about their experiences with our service and our attorneys, in an effort to ensure that our program is operating successfully and of the best service quality.

You Speak With a Live Person

Dealing with a legal issue can be quite stressful, and many people find great comfort in talking with an actual person in their quest to determine or resolve their legal situation. Furthermore, if one has any problems or concerns, unlike many online legal services, it is easy to contact us again to discuss them. In fact, we actually encourage clients to do so if any concerns arise.

We Respect Your Privacy

When you contact us, we do not require or collect extensive, personal information about you -- merely your contact information. We do attempt to follow-up with willing clients to learn about their experiences with our service and our attorneys in order to assess how we're doing. Confidentiality is very important to us and our program, and we never share or sell your information with non-involved, third parties for marketing purposes or otherwise.

Accreditation

We are accredited with the Better Business Bureau of Southern Arizona, with an A+ rating. We also follow the American Bar Association's model rules for the operation of public service lawyer referral programs.

Legal matters can be both confusing and overwhelming -- especially when you have no idea of where or who to turn to. The Pima County Bar Association's LRS can be a great starting point, with legal resources and referrals to qualified attorneys, who match your legal need.
